In 2022, I was awarded a Gloria Burt Foundation Fellowship grant to compose a ten-minute operatic film entitled A Day Light Speed. It is scored for treble soloist and string quartet.

SYNOPSIS:

 

SHE (soprano) awakens to begin her day only to experience the fullness of it in a flash. The speed of the day forces her emotions of longing for space, rest, and peace. At the same time, she longs for them, her family, friends and relationships to be that very respite. The day ends. It begins again.
